1 in 4 of us could do with some help that medication alone will not address.
There are many strategies which can help you deal with why you may be suffering and we can usually get to the bottom of what is causing the difficulty with counselling and hypnoanalysis and make those therapeutic changes with mindfulness NLP and Hypnotherapy that can enable you to get by the problem and find a better Quality of Mind.

This not a matter of being “all in the mind” but is often also about making adjustments to your mindset, and sometimes even diet and lifestyle in the case of depression, to combat these distressing symptoms.

You should feel that you can get beyond these problems and see that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train coming the other way.

Hypnotherapy is about waking you up to new possibilities – not sending you to sleep.

Dealing with anxiety worry panic attacks and stress.

In the case of worry anxiety stress and panic attacks,  much of the problem is with the “fight or flight mechanism”, which dumps adrenaline into our system to “fight the predator” or run away – which was useful when we might have been prey to a sabre tooth tiger – but most of the time is not helpful in the 21st century – particularly when we try to ignore it.

The subconscious processes, which are like a filing system behind the scenes guiding us, feels we haven’t noticed and continues to dump more and more adrenaline until we hyperventilate in extreme cases almost pass out!

A little “nerves” or anxiety is fine and natural – indeed often beneficial – but panic attacks anxiety or stress can be connected with an exaggerated response to stimuli. We need to be able to tell our subconscious, which governs our responses, to stop dumping so much adrenaline into our system – that we have noticed the alert and we don’t really need that response. We train ourselves to be calmer and more confident in any situation that has given us anxious or worried or stressful feelings in the past. This is all possible with hypnosis which enables you to change how you feel in a mindful way and act to get control of the situation with a strategy.

DEPRESSION

When you are depressed you may feel that the onset of depression cannot be stopped but there are strategies that can work to help head off most depressive incidents. You don’t need to feel surrounded and hemmed in by all that negativity – you can learn to turn around that low state and get in touch with your higher happier states of mind more often.

Depression Worry Panic Attacks and Anxiety and Stress or Fears may feel insurmountable – but it is possible to get through these problems and find a happier life.

Too often the temporary measure of tranquillisers become a fixture when perhaps it might be argued that treating the underlying reasons for Depression, and finding new strategies to deal with it, is a better way forward.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD in Colchester, Essex Ipswich and Hadleigh Suffolk

I trained in PTSD with a combat veteran who was in Bosnia, Iraq and Northern Ireland in the front line so as he suffered PTSD himself he could give us insight into the processes and the best treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has been evolving his approach over many hours of clinical experience with PTSD sufferers. I offer the same approach allied to my extensive experience with Trauma work using Mindfulness Hypnosis Hypnoanalysis where appropriate and NLP.

I am close to Colchester and based in Ipswich and happy to help the Police and other Key services in Suffolk and Essex and the other Emergency services, Paramedics, Accident victims or victims of Trauma or any sufferers from PTSD who served in the Armed Forces.

PTSD is a ticking time bomb and it can take up to fifteen years to appear – if not properly treated it is very difficult to see recovery happening.

Hypnotherapy and NLP are two very effective treatments. Current Government thinking seems to indicate that they are finally realising the problems and that there will be an “epidemic” if it is not addressed. Currently – depending who you read – anywhere betweeen 50% and 70% of homeless on our streets are ex services. More services people committed suicide because of PTSD than were killed in action in ANY of the modern wars.

It is an urgent situation and we need to be preparing to help. Of course PTSD is also suffered by survivors of traumatic events, by Doctors and Nurses, Emergency services Police Fire Services Paramedic and Ambulance crews A and E in Hospitals and many more.

If you suffer from PTSD or suspect that you do or you know a sufferer please talk to me in confidence. In line with the few hypnotherapists who treat this I offer special low rates of £40 per session for PTSD sufferers.

Depersonalisation Derealisation Disorder

It is hard to find treatment for Depersonalisation Derealisation Disorder and yet one in every 100 are thought to suffer from this distressing condition. It is very close to being a trance like state. Things seem unreal and the sufferer feels detached from reality.

Hypnosis and NLP are very good at dealing with the anxiety and panic states. Depersonalisation Disorder can therefore be treated by dehypnotising the subject. It is possible that the hallucination like state is a result of stress of panic or maybe cognition issues.

I am offering help with DDD on an experimental basis to evolve a treatment for this distressing disorder – if interested please contact me and I will offer a reduced rate – the worst that can happen is that you will get some techniques to handle the anxiety at least.
