How I became involved in Hypnotherapy in Suffolk and Essex – an Actor prepares:

I come from Norfolk and spent some years working on a Farm before training as an Actor Teacher at New College of Speech and Drama – this college became a founding part of Middlesex University – at which I taught briefly when I left college.

I worked as a Teacher and in Theatre In Education and became a qualified Clown, Mr Fitz, with my face registered on an egg in time honoured fashion. I worked as a Clown for several years eventually becoming an Associate Director of Clown Cavalcade. I then worked in every branch of the Entertainment Business as Actor, Director, Writer and Singer. I appeared in many TV shows such as Juliet Bravo, The Bill. Law and Order and Kingdom and was featured in the Children’s TV series Model Millie. I worked on such films as The Draughtsmans Contract, Love’s Kitchen and the Haunting of Harry Payne.

In Theatre I have been seen in FAME in the West End and on tour, as Claudius in Hamlet for the ESC, as Senator Lyons in Of thee I sing and Let ’em eat Cake for Opera North, as the Mayor of Casterbridge and Frankenstein in those roles for Oxfordshire Touring Theatre – over 35 years I have worked in just about every area. My Biog is here if you are interested in Graham Howes the Actor

I have written such shows as Gulf Arabian Nights One and Two, a Commedia de’ll Arte adaptation of Pinocchio, Sing as we Go – which had a National Tour – which I also directed, and currently Keep Dancing – written with Karen Lynne about her Family – which is to be staged in the Weat End for a showcase and then tour in 2016. There is also TV interest in a  spin off series. More on this exciting show which features Ballroom and Tap on our MISSING PIECES website.

I co wrote Sing As We Go and Missing Pieces with Karen Lynne and Desert of Eden about the poet John Clare with Mary Elliott Nelson.

I have Directed such shows as Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd with a cast of 45, Mrozek Out at Sea, Pinocchio, Gulf Arabian Nights ONE, Gulf Arabian Nights TWO, Threepenny Opera, Frankenstein Tour, Never Good Bye about Vera Britain and Errol Flynn – A question mark for a Face. I was Artistic Director of Edge of the World Theatre Productions.

We launch a tour in 2016 of a new piece called KEEP DANCING – there is more on this on the website – but it is a Family show – a strong play with epic themes with added “Strictly Come Dancing” choreography choreographed by one of the Strictly in house choreographers – Richard Marcel “Choreographer to the Stars” who most recently choreographed the Feature Film CUBAN FURY. http://missingpiecestheatreshow.co.uk

I was in FAME for three years initially on a National Tour and then at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End and saw many issues amongst actor, singers and dancers. I trained as a Hypnotherapist and long story short ended up working In Harley Street as a Hypnotherapist with clients from Jewellery Makers, Models, Supermodels, Journalists, Actors, Singers, Dancers and Media people from all levels.

I decided to move to the Suffolk/Essex border and since 2007 have been offering a broadening practice helping the people of Suffolk and Essex and now, by Skype, clients Worldwide and throughout the UK. I have 4 Hypnotherapy practices in Ipswich and Hadleigh in Suffolk and Frinton on Sea, Essex. I also run workshops in London and Colchester.

I have run retreats in Italy which use Hypnosis for spiritual development and to discover the authentic self. I have become a leading Past Life Regression Practitioner.

I continue to work with Artist Hayley Lock using trance states to explore alternate realities. We have given public demonstrations for the British Psychological Society and Arts events. We recently did some public lucid dreaming in front of a packed audience in tandem with the launch of Hayley’s exhibition of Art Works inspired by Trance work. The Spike Island Art Gallery performance in Bristol was well attended and was loosely based around the work of Carlos Castaneda and was called “Chasing Carlos Casteneda”  as we tried to recreate an alternate dream state where Hayley hallucinated while under hypnosis. We have since been to the Minories art Gallery in Colchester and the Paper Gallery in Manchester showing at a Bowie related event “Sound and Vision”.

I am running one day workshops in self hypnosis to teach people how to resolve habits and blocks themselves. Ask me about the courses if you are interested.

I have a mission to help people to reach their full potential while gently freeing themselves from habits, fears, phobias, stress and anxiety and increasing their confidence and self esteem.
